Hello and welcome to my Online Art Portfolio.

Here, you will see a variety of styles across different mediums, some of which will be available for purchase from external vendors. This portfolio is meant to be a sample of work and does not serve as an extensive collection of all works done. With that in mind, some work displayed here is owned by a third party and is for display only. Feel free to contact me with any questions or requests you may have. With that, I hope you enjoy!
Short Biography

Shelby C. Poole was born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. In her childhood, she could often be found competing in various individual and team-oriented sports, volunteering at the local dog shelter, as well as a non-profit, children's driving education program, dancing and singing in local theater performances, and practicing traditional art, photography, and, much later, digital art. In addition to this, by living there, she grew fascinated with the Japanese culture and language and, through the prevalent influence, it became her dream to visit Japan. These core foundations can still be seen and hold much influence in her art style today.

Deciding that Hawaii was not where she wanted to further her education, she pursued an undergraduate degree at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She intended to major in Art, but diverged from that plan in order to pursue Japanese Studies, with which she participated in a home-stay program in Japan in 2016. In her final year at college, she landed her first graphic design contract job, internship, and mentor-ship with various connections at the college, which, in turn, set her up for a career in Graphic Design.

Continuing on with the connections she made, she traveled to many states in the US to further her career. Making use of her previous interests, she has also pursued marketing and administration, children's party entertainment, refereeing, and commissioning. Her current motivators and dreams are to continue playing volleyball, travel around the world and to other areas in Japan, and to open a small business selling her artwork.
